Aluva, Kerala, Jul 26 : The Special Investigation Team (SIT) arrested Hafad (26) in the New Man College Teacher Prof T J Joseph Assault Case.

Hafad (26) of Palackal Veliyathunadu was arrested near Aluva last night.

He was handed over to Moovattupuzha Police for interrogation.

Hafad was said to have given the details of the nature of movements of Prof Joseph to the main conspirators.

According to the SIT, Hafad, who had observed the movements of Prof Joseph prior to the attack, had given a detailed report to the main conspirator about the timings of the teacher going to the church and returning home, the conveyance and accompaniment.

The SIT came to know from Hafad that three attempts were made on the Professor.

The accused reportedly revealed the State and District-Level leaders of Popular Front of India (PFI) were well aware of the plans to attack the teacher.

Hafad would be produced before the Judicial First Class Magistrate in Moovattupuzha this afternoon.

Meanwhile, the SIT today released Look Out Notices for two more accused--Najeeb and Kassim. --UNI
