LIVERPOOL: The Malayalee community in Liverpool have been targeted in a series of hate crime incidents right across Liverpool recently. There has been several incidents in the recent past which has been specifically targeted at Malayalees and to those from the ethnic minority communities.
As an organisation committed for the goodwill and well being of the Malayalee community in Merseyside, LIMCA has already taken up this matter with the concerned authorities. They have brought this issue into the attention of the Indian High Commissioner’s Office, the Liverpool City Council, Merseyside Police, Crime & Community safety authorities and other official bodies.
LIMCA representatives have now been invited to a meeting on 10th March with the local authorities and various other Crime & Community safety agencies to discuss the communities concerns and issues.
For the meeting to become effective and meet its objectives LIMCA calls upon all those who have been victim of hate crime violence to come forward with your crime reference number latest by 8th March, so that they can add it to the list of incidents and present it in the meeting.
This will provide the authorities a clear picture of the magnitude of suffering the community have been going through.

Dear friends, we are law abiding citizens, immensely contributing to the economic, industrial, health, social, cultural and various other vital sectors in the United Kingdom. We do not have to suffer in silence. This great country has a robust system in place to support and safeguard the people living here. It is our duty to come forward and report the incidents correctly. LIMCA is also working on a crime & safety awareness campaign and reporting methods.
Let us forget any factions or divisions that separate us, and stand in union as Malayalees, to put an end to this misery. We humbly request your support, co-operation and solidarity towards this noble cause.Let us all stand shoulder to shoulder, join our hands and move forward towards a bright future.
